In the 21st century, marked by constant change and complexity, individuals need adaptable and inclusive competencies. 21st Century Skills are grouped into three categories:
- Learning Skills: Critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication.
- Literacy Skills: Information, media, and technology literacy.
- Life Skills: Flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity, and social skills.
Competence is not only about acquiring skills but also confidently applying them across different contexts.
HSS (Health Systems Specialist) Competencies build on 21st century skills, preparing specialists to address health system challenges with a service-oriented attitude. Key competencies include:
